Starting a full time job tomorrow. I haven't held a job in literally sixteen years, besides being a trainer for CGS and writing. Though even I couldn't be more surprised, I'll be working in the trucking industry helping with driving logs. I think it will be interesting. Maybe some good blog tales may come of it.
Wish me luck.

Oh, I do wish you well. I was out of the work force for 16 years and then had to go to work because DH was waiting for surgery and his benefits wouldn't kick in for 4 months. That week I turned 40, shaved my head for a cancer fundraiser and re entered the workforce. I figured if I could do all that in one week I could do anything. Although the only thing that made me not tuck tail and run on the very first day of work was the thought that I could quit if I absolutely hated it. I was terrified. I ended up loving that job.
I had to count log books for tax purposes when my DH was a truck driver.
Have a great day!
It's so not you, and yet it's so like you to try something completely outside your usual scope and make it into something more beautiful than it was.
What I think is that as long as there are people, there are stories, and needs and I am sure you will find ways to let your light shine. Bless you.
I hear you about the 16 years, but do feel constrained to remind you that being a mom to four kids 24/7 is HARDLY the same as sitting around eating bonbons...
I do like "Hope's" account very much, too. What brave ladies...
