I'm thinking of decluttering the homeschool room today. This job never goes well for me, because in order to declutter, I must get rid of books. I tend to want to hang on to books. What if I eventually need the book for some unknown upcoming project in the next fifty years? I am sure the Loudon County Library would not have it, since it's book collection is about the same size as mine. I think it would be easier for me to part with a body part than a book. I probably should have been a librarian instead of a mother. Wish me luck.

My husband is the same way with books. He doesn't want to part with books that he's never read, or intend to read, just because they are books. His dream is to make his office into full walls of bookcases.
My sister-in-law called me, and she said, "When you have books that you're not using anymore, and you want to get rid of them, what do you do with them?" Me: "I don't have any of those." (However, in my defense, I did resist the temptation to offer to take whatever she was getting rid of....)

certainly not for YOU! i only imply i'm inadequate for both.
hey.. we did get $60.00 in credit for DIFFERENT books at the used book store after that purging.
I also got a lot of enjoyment giving a 50 year old Beverly Cleary book to a 7 year old boy waiting in line.
